About Us

GB Contracting is experienced in providing top-notch general and electrical contracting services. We have decades of experience working with property managers and tenants alike in maintaining and upgrading their commercial spaces.

Commercial and shopping center maintenance involves the upkeep of roofs, parking lots, landscaping, electrical equipment, mechanical systems and all other common areas shared by all tenants of the center. Maintenance is one of the major expenses incurred by both landlord and tenant in a shopping center.

Our people.

GB Contracting Inc. started out as GB Maintenance in the 90’s when John Barry formed the sole proprietorship for his sons to earn money doing odds and end jobs for local businesses. During the early 2000’s, John decided to take his business to the next level. He incorporated, hired a couple of project managers and a few solid crewmen. After nearly 20 years, John decided to retire and leave his legacy in the hands of his two sons.

John Barry

John is the founder of GB Contracting. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a business degree and found his way to commercial property management with a national firm back in the early 90’s. He has five sons and two daughters and lives in Peoria with his wife. He still works tirelessly while in retirement.

Devin Barry

Devin runs the financial side of the corporation. His thoughtful dedication keeps us all employed and the business running smoothly. He and his wife live in Peoria with their children.

Greg Barry

Greg manages the day-to-day operations of the company. He has a law degree, manages smaller projects, and tries to keep his hands in a little bit of everything. He lives in Phoenix with his two children.

Chris Farrell

Chris is the guy you call when you need answers. His industry experience is all encompassing. Your project will be done on time within budget when Chris is the project manager. He is an avid golfer, welder, and all-around guys guy. He is the life of the party. He lives with his wife and daughters in Phoenix.

Fernando Villa-Perez

Fernando has been with GB over ten years. He knows his way around electricity. A few of his sons have worked with us while attending college. GB is lucky to have Fernando and family as part of its family.

Robert Vasquez

Robert has been with GB over ten years. He is a drywall perfectionist. GB has had many employees learn from his vast experience. Robert and his family enjoy raising dogs in Glendale.

Salvador Lopez

Sal has been with GB over ten years. We spotted Sal when he was just a kid looking for temporary work. He’s been with us ever since learning almost every trade there is. Not only is he talented, he is generous and kind. We count ourselves lucky to know him.

Albert Arbayo

Albert is our resident superhero. At a moments notice he can be anywhere with anything he is tasked to supply. And the muscles on this guy...

Don Snook

Don is a tireless worker with a wide range of skills and a complimentary sense of customer satisfaction. The job will be finished on time with a smile. He lives in Goodyear with his wife and family.

John Snook

John is a superb talent. He works with a sense of purpose. We are excited when John is on the project. He lives in Gilbert with his family.

Todd Renfrow

Todd is one of our electrical technicians and the guy for lighting contract fulfillment. He enjoys hiking and camping, and has the sweetest pup. Todd’s demeanor is always positive and never says a harsh word about anyone. Just a real sweetheart.
